Holidays in July-ish | Fort Worth Boudoir Photography
Posted on July 1, 2009
I know it’s 105 degrees outside right now and we are all doing everything we can to keep from sweating ourselves to death, but I have to do the responsible thing and warn everyone … Christmas is coming. Again.
I have always been a last minute shopper, the kind that’s out two days before the holidays trying to pick through what’s left on the shelves hoping to find that perfect gift. Doesn’t exactly work, trust me.
That’s why I’m telling you this NOW rather than later on.
All holiday PRINT orders MUST be in by November 25th.
All holiday ALBUM orders MUST be in by November 1st.
This means if you’d like to have an album made for your hunny for the Holidays, then your session must be scheduled before October 15th. If you’re just looking for prints you can schedule your session as late as November 10th.
Also, Noire Belle is offering dedicated Holiday mini sessions in the fall. The first date is September 26th and the second date is October 24th. These mini sessions will be 45 minutes, 1 outfit, and include 15 proofs for you to select from. They also include one 5×7 (perfect to slip into his card!) and one of our gorgeous brocade 5×5 desk albums with 10 images deliciously retouched to perfection. Not that you need any retouching, ahem. All this for only $350. I promise he’ll love it more than a new DVD or PS3 game. Trust me.
To schedule your appointment you’ll need to place a $150 non-refundable deposit down on your time slot with the remaining $200 due the day of the session.
But, being that I’m trying to be so helpful here and get you motivated to shop early, if you book your holiday session in July you’ll receive $50 off the total Petite Collection price. Stop thinking, just book already!
Of course, if you like a little more options and attention you may also book a full session for 2 hours of my undivided attention and ego boosting. However, I only have a few Saturday appointments left in September and October so don’t dwaddle too much longer.
July Booking Update | Dallas Intimate Photography
Posted on June 24, 2009
Hullo to all my faithful blog stalkers and those of you who have yet to get the courage up to email and book your session.
July is nearly booked. Yes, it’s not even July yet and I’m almost booked up! I have TWO available sessions for Texas, both are at the end of July. So if you’ve been thinking about it, don’t think much longer or they’ll be gone.
*
Also, I am traveling to Michigan for two weeks in July for a wedding and a little vacation before the busy holiday season hits. I am accepting a few sessions while I’m there. If you’re interested, email me! I have special collections set up just for you.
~ Sarah Anne
PS - August is looking full already, too. Trust me that you’re not going to want to hesitate on scheduling your appointment or you might miss out all together!
* All weekend sessions in July in Texas are now booked. One weekday sessions are available.

J told me that I had a job cut out for her. She’d given the sexy photos idea a test run on her husband, and he emphatically responded that he did not want any cliche glamour shots with the soft focus and feather boas. She warned me that we needed to make this session top the chart and just KNOCK his socks off.
I accepted the challenge. And I’m pleased to say that my favorite images were just too hot for the blog.
Trying to keep things a little tamer on the blog so I don’t frighten anyone away. With that in mind, here is a quick sneak peek for J with a smirk on my face because I know what other ones are going to be in her gallery and she’s just going to have to wait a little longer to see them.

There is nothing I love more than spending the day with an old friend and catching up together while I capture her looking like the goddess she is, especially after have two kids 11 months apart. I bow down to her, I don’t think I would have survived!

I always suggest people book their session early. Sure it makes my life easier, but the real reason is because bookings can come in rushes and several times throughout the year I can be booked 6+ weeks in advance. Ms C was smart and booked her session 6+ months in advance. Amazing!
I like organized. Even better, I love it when a client comes in for a session just because or for herself. Best feeling for me is knowing they trust my vision to capture their beauty.

For the first time, I’m really not going to say much about this sneak peek. I mean, I had a blast, one of the most fun filled sessions I can remember. Seriously.
But the note posted at the end of this sneak peek says way more than I ever could. I’m still not telling whether or not it made me cry.

Dear Noire Belle Blog Stalkers
If you’re reading this, you’re probably a blog stalker, like I have been for a long time. And you might even be thinking, “Gosh, I wish I had the courage to do something like this for my husband/boyfriend.” But you don’t, right?
Yeah, neither did I.
See, I’m a photographer, with a pretty steady boudoir business. So when I decided that my OWN husband needed some boudoir pictures, I was very picky about what photographer would capture them. I guess it’s like how hairstylists are always ultra-picky about who does their hair, ya know? Except, this person would be responsible for making me look my best in all-eternal pictures. EEK!
I had all the confidence in the world in the weeks and days leading up to the shoot. Even as I was packing up my clothes, getting my hair and makeup done… I felt like it was no big deal. After all, I do this all the time on the other end of the camera, right? Totally nothing to worry about.
Then I found myself sitting outside the Noire Belle studio COMPLETELY hyperventilating. All I could see in my mind were my fat thighs, my stretch marks, the little bit of tummy I still hadn’t lost after pregnancy. And I swear to all that’s holy, I almost turned around and went home. Even cried for a minute.
It might sound dorky, but what saved me was my playlist. I turned on my iPod, pumped in some Lady GaGa that makes me feel foxy, and I decided not to be such a baby. My husband CLEARLY loves my body, so I had nothing to worry about. I was going to go in with no reservations, afraid of nothing, willing to try anything… and I was going to have a blast.
Turns out, that was the best attitude to have.
Sarah is SUCH a doll, and her infectious laugh and easy manner set me right at ease. I can’t remember the last time I had so much fun… really and truly. By the time we were done with the session, I felt like a supermodel. And hey, I’m REALLY not! When I got home to my husband later, he had no idea where I’d been, but commented that I looked so happy, I was glowing!
All this is said, blog reader, to encourage you. The only thing in your way is you. If you wait until you’re the “perfect” size, you’ll never do this. So come on now, and celebrate the woman you are TODAY.
If I, a photographer who’s insanely critical, trust Sarah to capture my photos… well, then you probably can, too! ![]()

This sneak is well over due but I couldn’t help but post it tonight. T and I spent the afternoon cooking up some ideas together and talking about men and love. All we needed was a little wine and chocolate and it would have been the perfect cliche girls afternoon in.
I love the look T has. She reminds me of the perfect feminine, flowing hair, fantastic curves, and stunning eyes that you can get lost in. This session was such a joy for me.

In a normal sneak peek I can’t think of what to type that will sound cool. Typically, my images just out shine anything I could possibly write. Today is no exception. I am in love with this session. For whatever reason, Mz A and I rocked it in the studio and I am so excited to get her gallery up for her. I know she’ll be beyond thrilled with what we cooked up.
I just seriously could not choose my favorites.

Q & A | Dallas Intimate Woman Photographer

Sarah,
Any tips on how to convince my wife that this kind of photo shoot would be good for both of us? She looks great, but she lacks confidence.
Joe
Hi Joe!
This is a question I get asked a lot. The husband would love for his wife to do this, but either doesn’t know how to ask or has asked and she’s said no because of her insecurities of her body. I’d like to answer this in two parts, first, since my audience is mostly female, I want to answer this to all the women who have been thinking about boudoir photography. Maybe secretly fantasizing about having a shoot done, but for whatever reason have not. Then, Joe, I’ll get to you.

There were sooooo many in this session that I fell in love with. T and I had just a fun time talking about men and babies and post pregnancy bodies and just laughing at the most mundane things. I loved how she was up for anything and brought along her husband’s helmet. Helmets are an AWESOME prop to use ladies. Hint to all the wives of service men …
Can’t stay and talk too long, have a few more sessions to go through and try to blog before the day is done. This lucky woman is planning to give her special guy a very hot gift for his first father’s day. Maybe we’ll see her back in here for a maternity session soon?

Isn’t she just stunning!
